The Beccles & District Lions Club recently held its annual Charter Evening at the Waveney House Hotel.

Part of the evening is dedicated to hard working individuals within the Beccles & District community, recognising their achievements and presenting them with Certificates of appreciation for the continued support offered.

One said award was provided to members of the Holy Trinity Chuch, Barsham.

For over 10 years the church and its volunteers have been filling empty shoe boxes with Christmas presents and goodies, sending them to orphanages in Moldova. This box of Christmas joy is often the only Christmas present the children will receive and has always lifted their spirits at Christmas time.
